Product Overview

Description:

This type of compression packing is manufactured from high purity flexible graphite that is formed and expanded into a braidable yard. It is braided without binders or any wire reinforcement. It is designed to be virtually leak free and retains the benefits of flexible graphite material: low frictions, self lubrication, chemical and heat resistance and dissipation. This packing material also provides an excellent service without scoring, and becomes denser as gland follower adjustments are made. This allows for you to add new rings and to readjust when the follower bottoms out in the stuffing box.

Applications

The beneficial properties of this material style make it a multi-service packing capable of a large variety of use within a plant. Typically this style of packing is used in pumps, mixers, valves, expansion joins, agitators in the hostile environments of hydrocarbon processing plants, metal-working, power generations, pulp and paper or within any environment where contamination is prohibited and effective sealing is crucial.
