Description:
This packing material is comprised of layers of flexible graphite tape, reinforced with an Inconel wire jacket, and plied into compact strands. These strands are braided to form a malleable, yet dense packing material. Afterwards, it is impregnated with a minimal amount of lubricating agents to reduce stem friction in its applications.
Applications
This material is suitable for valves and a broad range of applications. These applications typically include heat, pressure, steam servicing or chemicals. The Inconel jacket affords mechanical stability, extrusion proof and the advanced construction provides a high integrity and leakage control within steam service.
