Product Overview
Description:
This material is a PTFE gasketing material with a barium sulfate filler. It is typically used with strong caustics and for use in toxic chemicals. Variations of the material meet FDA conformance for use within the pharmaceutical and food industries. It is to be used within processes where contamination is not tolerated. The material boasts a tight seal to ensure a reduction of creep relaxation and product loss. This style of material features an improved performance over the standard PTFE material, as it does not exhibit the typical cold flow problems associated with skived or virgin PTFE and also lessens the amount of hardness that they other filled PTFE sheets exhibit.
Applications
PTFE Gasket Material with Barium Sulfate filler is designed to be used for strong caustics and various toxic or aggressive chemicals. It conforms to the FDA's requirements for use and servicing within the food industry and also within for pharmaceutical applications. It may also be used for oxygen service, as approved by the BAM.
