Product Overview
Description:
This material is a PTFE sheet material with silica filling. It is manufactured for a wide range of applications and used for general service, and with use for strong acids, caustics, solvents and other aggressive media. It boasts a very tight seal which allows for a reduction to creep relaxation, emissions and various product loss. With traditional skived and expanded PTFE sheets shows a tendency for cold flow problems, but with the unique manufacturing process for this material, there is a minimization of such problems. This material also meets FDA conformance for service within the pharmaceutical and food industries and applications. This material does not support flame or bacterial growth.
Applications
This material is suited for applications where high pressure and temperature tolerance is required. It is utilized especially within chemical processing and for hydrocarbon plants. Exceptions to the uses within chemical applications are: hydrofluoric acids, molten alkali metals, fluorine gas or hydrogen fluoride.
