Product Overview
Description:
This material is reinforced with a synthetic/inorganic fiber blend and a proprietary binder to produce a high-density, controlled swell sheet. It is designed to be used with difficult sealing applications, such as in low to moderate flange load conditions, where flange surface conditions or inadquate bolt loadings are not ideal. Uneven flange designs, or demanding applications that require conformability, torque retention and recovery. This controlled swell sheet is named such because in the presence of oils, coolants, fuels or lubricants, the material provides a controlled swell.
Applications
This gasket material is used primarily in heavy-duty industrial applications, such as Industrial oil processing, diesel engine oilpans, front covers, and fuels, but can also be used with gear boxes, housings, transformers, generators and even traditional uses with pipes, valves and man-hole covers.
