Product Overview
Description:
This packing material is made from high-grade ramie yarns with a PTFE suspensoid manufactured within a plait, square construction. To minimize shaft wear and to allow for expansion of the material during break-in period, an additional lubricant has been added. It is a medium-hard density, and features incredibly low frictional characteristics, assuring minimal shaft wear.
Applications
Featuring a high resistance to rotting and mildew, this packing material is ideal for marine service. Within the marine service, it has been recommended for sealing stern tube and rudder post stuffing boxes. It can be used for certain pump and valve applications, such as in the water/wastewater industry and also the pulp/paper and mining industries.
