Product Overview
Description:
This packing style and material is constructed from meta-aramid yarns that are impregnated with a PTFE-dispersion during the braiding process; after which is then lubricated with an inert mineral oil. Combining the high mechanical strength of the meta-aramid fibers with the elaborate braiding process creates a pliable, yet soft packing with excellent chemical and mechanical resistance. The PTFE dispersion results in a low coefficient of friction, thus avoiding shaft wear, even at high shaft speeds.
Applications
This style of compression packing is excellent with a wide variety of media within many differnt processes. It is recommended for all kinds of pumps, pulp and paper, sewage plants and many more. Suitable for reactors, mixers and agitators within the chemical industry.
Typically Used In:
1. Sewage, water, steam |
2. Solvents, chemicals, Mild and Moderate Caustics and Acids |
3. Any General service requiring a mechanically strong packing |
