Product Overview
Description:
This style of compression packing is manufactured with aramid yarn that is impregnated with PTFE suspensoid, which makes it highly resistant to abrasion. It is also lubricated with a high-temperature silicon-based compound for easier run-in. The issue with other aramid fiber packings is that they are designed strength but not sealability, but with the added lubricant makes a better pump shaft seal. The interwoven configuration of the braiding allows for easy cutting and installation. This style is also excellent for heat dissipation and is non-contaminating and non-staining.
Applications
Due to its durability, this material is able to withstand both abrasive and granular applications. Aramid fiber features a high tensile strength, making it ideal for slurries or anywhere where the media is extremely aggressive.
Typically Used In:
1. Used within slurry pumps, mixers, reciprocating pumps and hydraulic pumps. |
2. Mine dewatering pumps, dewaxing units, drilling mud pumps, mixers and reactors. |
3. Paper, Steel, Petroleum and various Chemical applications. |
4. Sewage treatment, water, steam, oils, brines, mild acids, and many solvents. |
