Product Overview
Description:
This packing material is constructed using pure PTFE yarn, reinforced with aramid fiber corners and stylized in an interlock braid. Each yarn is pre-treated with a break-in lubricant to lower frictional heat created from high shaft speeds and to lower the overall coefficient of friction in other applications. It is also pre-treated with PTFE dispersion. This packing material is very wear resistant dur to the aramid corners within the braiding.
Applications
The quality of this packing, with its PTFE yarn and aramid corners creates a non-contaminating and dimensionally stable packing featuring superb lubricating and running characteristics. It can handle a large range of chemicals, acids and alkalis. This material is best suited for applications where abrasive wear is a problem, such as within rotary and reciprocating pumps, as well as agitators, mixers and reactors.
Typically Used In:
1. Best used within abrasive applications |
2. Caustics, Solvents, Mild Acids, Moderate to Aggressive chemicals |
3. Air, Gases, and oils |
4. General Plant Applications such as pulp/paper mills, pharmaceutical, food and sugar industries |
