Description:
This material is comprised of a unique PTFE and graphite yarn which is then reinforced with corners consisting of abrasion-resistant aramid fibers. The expanded PTFE in this packing is encapsulated with fine particles of graphite, thus resulting in having the capability of chemical resistance of PTFE and the heat dissipation of graphite. This packing style also exhibits anti-extrusion strength and is excellent within high-pressure and slurry sealing.
Applications
This style of packing is best suited for abrasive slurries. It is also used within the chemical and pharmaceutical industries due to the PTFE material within. It is compatible and can handle a wide range of chemicals within the pH scaling of 3 pH to 11 pH. It may be used as end rings to prevent extrusion. It is also included within the sewage and wastewater treatment industries.
