Description:
This material is a interlock braided, firm, high-density packing made from pure PTFe filament pretreated with PTFE dispersion. This dispersion and braiding style prevents leakage through the braiding and reduces frictions and provides a low friction surface finish. This material is asbestos-free and absorbs little to no water. It is not supported with a lubricant, so lower shaft speeds are ideal for this material's application.
Applications
Due to the PTFE construction used with manufacturing this chemical, it is resistant to all chemicals except molten uranium salts, making it ideal for chemical applications. Ideally, it is used for valve and slower shaft speed applications. This packing will not wick making it an excellent choice for valves, hatch seals and inspection port seals.
